My name is Marina Markowa and I live in Kizugawa-shi.
I came to Japan 13.5 years ago. At that time, there weren't many foreigners aroud here.
For many Japanese which I met I was the first foreigner with whom they communicated and they were shy to speak to me.

During the last several years, life here changed a lot.
Now, Japanese people are more and more open and not afraid to communicate with foreigners.

This makes our life in Japan much more pleasant. For the time we have been here, Kizu area changed a lot.

Many new shops including such which offer imported food were opened and this made our life more comfortable.

I like to live here. It's a beautiful, full of history area. And Japanese people are nice and very friendly.
Me and my family are very happy here.
