This is an exchange center opened to support foreign researchers living and working in the area, to provide information for international business creation, and to help improve communication and correspondence.

International Business Support

International Business Creation and Interactive Community Salon support the development of the mainstay, the medium-small business and the venture company located in Kansai Science City as well as positively promote the international economic exchange and cooperation through the execution of giving business information and business matching.

Projects

1.Providing consultation services

English and Chinese speaking support via cooperation with a volunteer group ( 2-3 days a week)

2.Providing communication space

meeting(conference) room, internet service, free paper·reference book supply, message board

3.Construct the living information site

foreign language information site, spread the local information, provide the links of international organizations information sites.

4.Activating International exchange projects

Japanese language tutoring program for foreigners, Intercultural exchange program

Support Project for foreign researchers in Keihanna Special Intellectual Area

KEIHANNA INTERACTION PLAZA INC. provides an accommodation and support network in order to promote the invitation of foreign researchers (including exchange students) to Kansai science city. Correspondents can apply for the following support networks.

Cost

2000 Yen per day
Prerequisites

Foreign researchers who work in the institutions concerned (*) based on research programs over foreign researchers provided by the cultural study and research institutions located in the Kyoto prefectural parts of Kansai science city and stay in Keihanna Plaza Hotel.
( * )Institutions concerned (examples) : ATR(Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International), RITE(Research Institute of Innovative Technology of the Earth), Doshisha University, NTT Group, NTT Communication Science Laboratories, Omron Corporation Keihanna Innovation Center, Shimazu Corporation Key Technology Laboratory, Matsushita Corporation High Technology Laboratory, Kyocera Corporation Central Laboratory, etc.

Corresponding period

Over 3 days and under 1 month. Only in unavoidable circumstances such as the extension of the research is it possible to extend the period of stay up to 1 more month.
Procedures

Institution should submit the research program describing its theme, effect and period on the attached 1st form to KEIHANNA INTERACTION PLAZA INC. in advance.
1st Form Download

  • Institutions should issue a certification by the attached 2nd Form for the foreign researcher concerned to stay at Keihanna Plaza Hotel in advance.
  • When the foreign researcher stays at Keihanna Plaza Hotel, he should submit the 2nd Form given by the institution to the Hotel

The amount of 2000 yen per day will be deducted from the normal hotel rate.
