About Working Groups
Working Groups for Selected Studies
Beginning in fiscal 2007, the “Photo-Medical Valley Research Alliance in Keihanna” organized working groups to pursue selected studies in order to accelerate implementation of the Photo-Medical Valley Plan and further energize its activities.
We are now recruiting new members for the working groups. If you wish to apply for membership, please feel free to contact us.
Outline of Working Groups
Objective
- To deepen discussions on specialized fields, and to clarify issues and visions
- To promote research and commercialization regarding relevant themes and to contribute to the formation of Photo-Medical Valley by exploring new themes for research and development, forming research and development teams, and acquiring competitive research funds.
Members and Secretariat
- Open recruitment
- Membership applicants shall approve of the intent of Photo-Medical Valley in Keihanna and its working groups, be willing to act constructively and cooperatively, and obtain approval by the Photo-Medical Valley in Keihanna’s panel of facilitators. An applicant may become a member both as a representative of an organization and in a private capacity.
- Keihanna New Industry Creation and Interactive Community Center serves as the secretariat.
Activities
- Working group meetings shall take place two or three times a year.
- The independence of leaders and members is respected in the operation of a working group.
Expenses
- Expenses for a meeting place shall be paid by the Keihanna New Industry Creation and Interactive Community Center.
- Traveling and other expenses for participation in meetings shall be borne by individual members.
